Restaurant Full Booking Policy
Table assignment & allocation
Specific table requests will be taken into consideration but cannot be guaranteed.
Final table allocations will be made by the restaurant manager on the day.
Weather
In the case of extreme weather (heat, wind, rain) we will endeavour to accommodate your booking in an indoor or unaffected area of the venue. If we are unable to accommodate your booking, you will be notified in advance.
Pets
Please note, pets are not allowed at The Summit Restaurant & Bar, even in the outdoor areas. Service animals are accepted.
Cancellations
All cancellations are required in writing minimum 24 hours prior to the booking date and time. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee of $30pp charged to the card on file.
Cancellation policy for regular restaurant reservations may differ to cancellation policy for functions and special events. Please enquire with us directly regarding cancellation policy for special events.
Menus & set menu requirements
Groups of 15 or more, including groups with children, are required to dine on a set menu.
The same menu must apply to the whole group (children under the age of 12 may order separately from our kids menu).
We can provide alterations to most dishes in the set menu to cater to a broad range of dietary requirements. Where an alteration cannot be made, we will cater separately.
For large groups, pre-payment may be required. Our functions team will be in touch if pre-payment is required.
Pre-payment & credit card authentication
Standard restaurant bookings require a credit card authentication of $30 per person to be completed at the time of booking.
A fee will not be charged unless you fail to show up for your booking without prior cancellation. See cancellation policy above.
Full payment of the bill will be required on the night of your booking.
Cakeage
A cakeage fee of $8pp applies to all external cakes brough into the venue. Our team will cut and serve the cake with suitable garnishes.
Please advise us in advance if you wish to bring a cake.
Special events
Special events such as Valentine’s Day or Christmas Day may require pre-payment and a set menu requirement. If you are interested in booking a special day, please make an enquiry and one of our team will come back to you in due course with details for confirming the booking.
Surcharge
A 10% surcharge applies on Sunday and 15% applies on all public holidays. The surcharge will be applied automatically to your bill.
Restaurant FAQs
Do you require pre-payment for restaurant bookings?
Standard restaurant bookings do not require pre-payment; however, a credit card authentication is required at the time of booking.
Large groups and bookings for special events may require a minimum spend or pre-payment. Please make an enquiry and one of our team will get back to you in due course.
Do you allow children in the venue?
Yes, children are welcome to dine with us. We have a dedicated kid’s menu, and highchairs are available for use. Highchairs are limited, so we recommend advising us in advance if a highchair is required.
Do you cater to dietary requirements?
Yes, most dietary requirements can be catered for. Please note, our kitchen uses products containing gluten, nuts, dairy, shellfish, pork and alcohol.
Do you cater to dietary requirements for High Tea?
Yes, the following dietary requirements can be catered for with 24 hours’ notice:
gluten free +5pp, vegetarian/halal +3pp, nut /seafood allergy – no extra charge.
Do you allow cakes and decorations?
You are welcome to bring a cake, however, please note a cakeage fee of $8 per person applies. We will cut and serve your cake with suitable garnishes. Please let us know in advance if you wish to bring a cake.
You are welcome to bring simple table decorations such as flowers and balloons. Please be aware that space in the restaurant is limited. All decorations must be taken with you at the end of your booking. We do not allow glitter, confetti or anything that needs to be adhered to walls or ceilings.
Do you have on-site parking?
Yes, a free, council operated carpark is available on site. This is a public carpark and spots are limited so we recommend arriving early or utilising ride-share services.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome, however on weekends and during peak times availability can be limited. We recommend booking in advance to secure your table.
Do you allow pets?
No, we do not allow pets at The Summit Bar & Restaurant, even in the outdoor areas. Pets are allowed at The Summit Café in the outdoor spaces.
